A bit of Texas in the PNW
The wedding took place at Maplehurst Farms in Mount Vernon. We have photographed several weddings at this venue and absolutely love it each and every time! The farmhouse, the gardens, and the reception space are all so perfect! Although we have photographed there several times, we always find that each wedding is totally unique and we love finding new ways to capture the venue and wedding in creative ways.
The day ended up being a bit overcast which was totally OK from our perspective – beautiful even light! Edward is a true Texan at heart and we loved the country themes infused throughout the day. Edward even made his appearance at the reception in a Stetson which really added a fun element to the evening.
One highlight of the evening was the touching and meaningful toasts which then evolved right into the dances. Amanda and her father stole the show with a choreographed Father-Daughter dance that left everyone smiling and even shedding a few tears! Another fun and very unique part of the reception was the “dessert auction” which is a tradition in Edward’s family. Edward’s mom made a few amazing desserts, including their wedding cake!
Edward and Amanda – We loved being trusted to be a small part of your glorious day! Thank you for trusting us with it and may you two enjoy a lifetime of smiles, laughs, and joy.
